Has the digital camera changed us?

In my experience, the main impact of digital cameras has been the democratisation of the photography which used to be elitist and very expensive, so today we are drowning in images. It means that smartphones allow us to take a lot of free photos, many of them are shared on social media, but many of them are forgotten.
I have to admit that when I go on holiday I capture and I post this moment on Instagram as I like to show of my friends that I was there.
Personally, this technological revolution have changed my live, but especially the way I experience things or situations, like visiting a museum where I can take pictures with my mobile phone and share them on social media. So apparently, those images taken as a digital memory are replacing my human memory and I’m not sure I like it.
