Basically, a hackathon is an event where incredibly talented computer-programmers, non-computer-programmers and web experts, come together to solve problems using technology such as new webs, new software or new apps.
Usually, a Kackathon kicks off on Friday evening with some introductions and then sharing ideas for apps to promote something. Then, people go and come to and fro getting to know each other and making networking. Then, on Saturday, all the teams got down to the job of designing their project. Finally, on Sunday the different projects are submitted to the judges and there is a winner.
